We are best known for our long history under the name Oy Johnson Metall Ab. Even though the history goes a bit further, to 1944 when the company was established as Kevytmetalli Oy.
In 1970 the swedish Johnson Metall Ab acquired the company to the period of almost 50 years. In that time the company been steadily developing and growing to what it is now. This was time for growth and development. Along with the nordic machinebuilding industry, the company has delevoped it’s production capabilities and operating culture to an agile middleclass factory.
In 2019 the ownership of the company came back to Finland again, as Sacotec Invest Oy acquired the Pirkkala factory to itself. An owner full of motivation investing in developing the finnish foundry- and manufacturing industry. As a part of this, the company changed its name to Sacometal Oy in 2021.
Through decades Sacometal has been growing and improving together and in strong co-operation with our customers. Sacometal is the market leader in Finland and a major supplier in the Nordics.
Sacotec Components is specialized in precision and investment casting of various steel alloys.
